Wage investigations by the U.S. Department of Labor as well as the Bureau of Field Enforcement are increasing, and that’s good news for contractors who play by the rules.

At the state level, the Bureau of Field Enforcement showed an outstanding performance in terms of case management, back wages and penalties assessed during the fiscal years 2017-2018.

Since its creation, the Labor Management Compliance Council has contributed significantly to state compliance monitoring efforts by assisting the state in issuing Civil Wage Penalty Assessments (CWAPAs) in an amount that exceeds 4.2 million dollars.
